Install the ChineseTone into your Palm device using the Palm Computing connected organizer Install Tool. To do this, select the Start button | Programs | Palm Desktop | Install Tool. Tap the Add button in the Install Tool . When you locate it, select it and tap the Open button. Tap the Done button to exit the Install Tool.
Synchronize your Palm device and ChineseTone will be installed.

pbuilds in frequently using Chinese 1000 words or sentences, you can use new word expansion to add new word ! On starting up ChineseTone logo begin on the main title screen as below ,
To input the first letter via Graffiti or via Keyboard typing word to find ,
For example:
if you want to find " Wait a moment " , please input "w" the ChineseTone system will automatically find the word or using * and * arrow to find it .
if you want to find "Welcome", please input "wel" then you can find it .
if you want to find "How are you", please input
"how" then you can find it .
if you want to find "Thank you", please input
"th" then you can find it .
New Word function
To tip "New" icon ,
system allows you to extend new word by yourself.
Note ! you can't maintain the words or sentence which has
been stored in SystemDB ! see below sample for error message .

In new word menu , you can
via tip icon function to expand new words as
"Query" ,"Save" , "Modify" , "Delete " , "Browse" etc .
How to
add new word
To input word in English word filed, and then tip
"Query" Icon to find first,
system will display a message to remind you
as
"Found in SysDB!" or "Found in NewWordDB!"
or "Please entry data!" in
status bar .
For example ,
Try to
Input "beef" and tip
"Query"
icon to find first, system found "beef" in SystemDB
, so you don't need to add this word .
Try to Input another word as "Pork", and then tip "Query", as system display "Please entry data !" that means not found "pork" in SystemDB and NewWordDB. now you are starting to input Chinese Phonetic or Rome , and then tip "Save" to store in NewWord DB till system display "Add save successful !" message .
How to
modify new word ,
To input word in English word filed, and then tip
"Query" icon to find first,
system will display a message to remind you
as
"Found in SysDB!" or "Found in NewWordDB!"
in status bar . Note , user can't modify word in
SystemDB !
For Example ,
Try to
Input "Address book" and tip
"Query", system found
"Address book" in SystemDB,
so you can't revise the word.
Try to input another word as "Pork" and
tip "Query", as system shown
"Found in NewWordDB!" that means found
"pork" and can modify it by yourself in NewWordDB ! Now
you are starting to revise words of "Chinese Phonetic/Rome" filed, and then
tip "Modify" to store in NewWordDB till
system
display "Modify successful !"
message .
How to
Delete
new word
To input word in English word filed , and then tip "Query"
Icon to find first, system will display
"Found in NewWordDB", and then tip
"Delete" Icon to confirm again , system will display
"Delete successful !".
Note , user can't delete word in SystemDB !
For Example ,
Try to input another word as "Pork" and
tip "Query", as system shown
"Found in NewWordDB!" and tip
"Yes" to delete it , and then
system
display "Delete successful !"
message .
To input "advertisement" and try to delete word from SystemDB ? System will display "SysDB Can't Delete " !
In browse mode , you also can delete word directly !
In filter function, just only input the first letter, and then tip 'Filter" icon , the system will automatically filter with the letter.
For example: What time is it ?
Input "wh" and then tip "Filter" icon, the system will filter the words and show all words or sentences beginning with "wh" in filter list box.

In browse function, you can input the first letter and system will list all words or sentence begin with it .
For example:
Input "Y" , the system will filter the words and show all words or sentences beginning with "y " in filter list box.
Input "e" , the system will filter the words and show all words or sentences beginning with "ei " in filter list box.

You can use style to tip * icon to add frequent using sentences or word in you favorite, and then via tip * icon to open your favorites folder to query or delete for maintenance purpose .

From the "DB" of pull-down menu or tip "Utility" Icon ,

DB utility will export the result to MemoPad after running backup , restore or re-index function ,
Backup New Word Database ( Backup you new word Database which entry by yourself )
Restore New Word Database ( Restore your New Word database )
Re-index Database ( Fix Database any errors for ChineseTone system Database and New Word Database )
Above function protect your data for safety after update system database . And we also provide the function to backup and restore the system and your personal database. It’s to make sure the correctness of database.
For your data safety purpose, ChineseTone
1.0.2 registered user must be used upgrade tools migration to ChineseTone 2.0.0,
please do not install both of 1.0.2 and 2.0.0 in your PDA ! For upgrade tools
will send registered user soon via E-mail . It's free charge upgrade ChineseTone
1.0.2 to ChineseTone 2.0.0 according as your request ! (Please provide your
ChineseTone 1.0.2 register code , user name and registered E-mail
address ).
